Good News - Part Two

The scene opens with RVD limbering up and stretching for his upcoming workout. Sabu isn’t present but Fonzie is there and he’s discussing a gameplan with some of the local independent workers that frequent the Center. All have agreed to work with RVD, because hey, it’s a chance to work with RVD. Typically RVD keeps to himself, Fonzie and Sabu when working out but things are changing. Stakes are high and he’s got to be prepared for anything. Eddie Guerrero came in and pulled out all the stops to walk out of Rampage with the World Heavyweight title.
Fonzie: Daddy-o! You about ready over there?
Rob Van Dam: Ready? Hey, you ARE talking to R (double thumb point) V (double thumb point) D (double thumb point).
Fonzie: That’s right, daddy-o!
Fonzie turns to the half dozen indy workers with a half smile.
Fonzie: ALL RIGHT, LADIES! WE START WITH ONE OF YOU THEN EVERY THIRTY SECONDS A NEW ONE COMES IN. DON’T PULL PUNCHES, HE’S NOT GOING TO! BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!
RVD rolls into the ring and is bouncing around waiting for the first competitor. The first is a young kid with a lot of spunk but not a ton of talent, he rushes in at RVD but RVD drops down and catches the kid with a legsweep. In one motion he rolls through the move locking his leg with the kid’s and slapping on the STF. The kid quickly taps but RVD doesn’t release right away. Fonzie sends in another of the workers who comes in a little more cautiously but RVD still has the STF locked – the new worker goes to drop a ‘bow on RVD but RVD releases the hold and the worker hits the kid adding even more to his agony.
Fonzie: WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?! YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO HELP HIM!
Fonzie laughs to himself, he sends in another wrestler even though its early but RVD isn’t holding back and he can handle it. The worker gets up from his errant elbow but he’s greeted with an extremely stiff spinning, jumping back kick. The first worker rolls out of the ring cradling his arm but takes a nasty spill when the second crashes into him and they fall to the mats outside. A crowd is starting to gather about the Center, everyone is stopping their work outs to see the free show. RVD doesn’t let them down.
Fonzie: GET IN THERE, DAMMIT! DON’T YOU KNOW WHO I AM!?
The four remaining workers scramble into the ring but Rob Van Dam is in rare form and they aren’t getting in his way. Five minutes later and a Rolling Thunder, Van Daminator, 5 Star Frog Splash and Van Terminator later Rob Van Dam is standing in the middle of the ring and all his competitors are nursing wounds that will stay with them for a while.
Fonzie: THAT’S RIGHT, BIG DADDY! YOU GOT ONE MORE TO DEAL WITH NOW! THE MOST HOMICIDAL, GENOCIDAL, SUICIDAL, DEATH DEFYING MAN ON THE PLANET!!! SABUUUUUUU!
Sabu comes out from under the ring and slides in under the bottom rope behind RVD. The two collide and the real work out begins. Fonzie smiles and says to himself.
“Guerrero and Miller have no idea what’s in store for them at Rampage…..”
