Good news - Part One

The scene is black and the air is silent. That silence is interrupted by the blaring of a telephone in the darkness. After six rings the phone is picked up an a very drowsy voice answers.
“Yeah?”
“WAKE UP, DADDY-O! I’VE GOT ----“

The silence is penetrated once again by the sound of a ringing phone. This time the phone is answered a couple of rings sooner.
“Go away.”
“YOU GOT A TITLE SHOT!”
The darkness is abruptly shattered by the bedside lamp and RVD center screen looking surprised.
Bill Alfonso: You there, boss?
Rob Van Dam: Yeah. Did IQ force him to defend against me?
Bill Alfonso: You won’t believe this. He says he wants to face you one more time because you gave him a shot without needing to.
Rob Van Dam: I was stoned.
Bill Alfonso: He doesn’t need to know that.
Rob Van Dam: First thing in the morning meet me at the Center and we’ll get started on training. See if you can round up Sabu and any local guys. We’ll talk more then.
Bill Alfonso: On it, daddy-o.

With that RVD hangs up the phone and rolls over in bed. He closes his eyes and immediately starts running through the last meeting in his mind. Every move etched in his brain.
