Drowning Sorrows

The scene opens with Bill Alfonso rubbing his temples while sitting at the bar in the hotel lounge. It’s late in the evening and Fonzie looks as though he hasn’t gotten any sleep since Rampage the night before. He sucks back on the last of the beer sitting in front of him and lets out a sigh. A television above the bar is playing FTR Classic but Fonzie doesn’t feel much like watching.
Bartender: You’ve been in here a while…something on your mind?
Fonzie: Do you know what its like to lose something valuable?
Bartender: Oh yeah. I had this tape of Jenna Jameson getting plugged by ten guys and one day I couldn’t find it anymore. I think my girlfriend might have th---
Fonzie: DON’T YOU KNOW WHO I AM?!
Bartender: What?
Fonzie: I’M BILL ALFONSO! THE MANAGER OF CHAMPIONS AND THE ONLY MAN WHO CALLS IT RIGHT DOWN THE MIDDLE…..well…..I was the manager of champions.
Bartender: That’s where I seen youse! You got that whistle and spit all the time on that rassslin’ show. I seen youse before.
Fonzie looks toward the empty beer bottle sitting on the counter and considers taking that bottle and crashing it over the bartender’s head but something catches his attention. It’s on the TV, Ernest Miller and Brock Lesnar are on the screen and the Cat is laying down a second challenge to Sabu. The Cat talks about his former partnership with RVD and how Sabu doesn’t compare. Fonzie ignored the previous challenge because the split had been amicable. He didn’t want trouble with Miller but he feels that Team Extreme is falling apart. Sabu hasn’t won a match since returning and RVD just dropped the US title because he won the World only to lose the World on his first defense.
Fonzie: Its time. No more pussy footing around.
Bartender: Lissen buddy, I’m cuttin’ you off. Your total is $34.89.
Fonzie takes that beer bottle and cracks the bartender over the head, he falls to the ground pulling down a couple of bottles and glasses down with him. Fonzie tosses down a pair of twenties and starts for the door.
Fonzie: Keep the change. I’ve got preparations to make.
