Destruction in Orlando...(Fatal Army)
Posted by: The Chosen One on 05/22/2003 at 20:13

"Christopher Kanyon is quick to speak up, yet the rest are silent. Does this make him or the others the wiser party?"

*The Orlando skyline is dimly lit by the moon and star-filled sky, and it is against this backdrop that The Chosen One now speaks. Seated against an old billboard atop a building, he stares off away from the camera as he speaks...*

"This, Mortis, is to be decided in this town, for you apparently wish to make war with the Chosen. This decision, mind you, is not necessarily one of your smarter acts. Perhaps this is not surprising, however. Look around your stable, Christopher. Mysterio and Jones have went on to prepare for the Dudleyz. Raven has called out Paul Wight to defend his title. Rhyno remains silent; my intuition leads me to believe he is reflecting on his choice of attacking me. Eddy Guerrero continues to taunt all of you, then becomes angry that I "saved" him from Calloway. Of course, your leader throws at me exactly what I expected: his empty lies and idle threats. And you called me out for a match, not realizing you may have to defend your precious golden bauble against a young upstart.

"These actions do not speak of wisdom. Already, three of your group have forgotten Rampage's attacks to focus on other areas. They would be well-served to not forget that Kidman and I still loom over you strongly. One of you has gone missing. Another looks to start trouble from within. In a time of war, dissention within the ranks must yield to unity. Your leader continues to spout rhetoric and plans of attack. However, these plans are meaningless in the wake of destruction. He is not unlike the Information Minister so ridiculed in the recent Iraqi War: while being beaten, he continues to say his war mantras and declarations of victory. And you take on the very viable threat head-on without regard for your own possessions.

"I have trouble finding which of the above is the greatest fool, Mortis, but I can see that all WILL fall before the Chosen Alliance. What Kidman and I started will end once we have finished Calloway. Without him, the already-fragile unity within your group will crumble. The Destructive Lightning will seek new contractors. Raven will draw back to the shadows. Rhyno will return to action without the burden of darkness. Eddy will gladly get away from what he sees as unnecessary bonds. And you will be forgotten.

"You spoke accurately, Kanyon, that you are not Calloway's lackey, or protege, or servant. You are a warrior like the rest of your Army, as you said. But, as you also said, people PERCEIVE you as that lackey, that protege, that servant. Their perception will not change easily. If you beat me, they will say you were powered by the Undertaker. If you lose, you will be spoken of as a lesser being. Your talent, as you have said, is nothing to the public. Without the Undertaker, they would forget you.

"I am not that foolish, Kanyon. I KNOW your talent, and I will not take a match with you lightly. You are a very capable wrestler indeed. But, while you feel you are a TAD better than I, I feel that I will have the driving force to overcome whatever talent you think you laud over me. Yes, underneath this all, I may be a man from Tennessee who got his start through his father and worked through the dirty politics of other federations. But you underestimate me as Calloway does. You forget that I do wield more power than I did in my earlier days. Did you not see the destruction I caused to Eddy? Were you not there when he limped away, covered in blood, from a war that no doubt silenced many people's wonderings as to my power? Do you honestly BELIEVE you are not in for a similar fate?

"In Detroit, it was Eddy who overlooked me on his way to destruction. In Orlando...it will be you, Mortis.

"Et nomini Patri, et Fili, et Spiritui Sancti."

*The Chosen One's head tilts back, leaning against the billboard post, as the camera fades to black...*
