Rampage approaches

As Rampage draws nearer and nearer...he becomes more anxious. Anxious to prove to the world once and for all that he is his own man...that he is not the puppet that he has been seen as for his entire career...that his success was a result of his own hard work and not of the strings pulled by his alliance.
Kidman is in the dressing room area, preparing for apparent action later on. He laces up his boots and begins warming up. Nervousness is apparent in both his movements, but his expression is one of intensity. His night will prove to be a huge on for his career. After stepping away from the Fatal Army, he must show the world that he still is the same Billy Kidman that they have seen in action for years.
He paces towards the door and pushes it open, stepping into the hall of the backstage area of the arena. Waiting for him with a camera man and a microphone in hand is Mene Gene Okerlund.
Gene: "Kidman, if I could please get a word with you before Rampage..."
Kidman obliges to the interview.
Gene: "We have yet to hear you respond to Vader, though he has mentioned your name on more than one occassion since you left the Fatal Army. He wants you to join him in competition."
Kidman: "He might as well ask pigs to fly, Gene. When I was a member of the Fatal Army I fought against Vader and his Horsemen of the Apacolypse. I helped to crush them and their cause. I know what Vader stands for, and I know what he is all about. He is not a man...he dodges Eddy Guerrero after calling him out by throwing Meng into the picture. He threatens the world with that booming voice of his, but his words are transparent...they always have been. He is nothing more than a shell of a man...someone living in his own personal dream world. Vader, you may have used to be the man in Japan years ago...but you are nothing in the FTR, never have been, and never will amount to anything more. I will not team with you...and I advise you never to mention my name again. I may no longer be a member of the Fatal Army, but I am still no force to be reckoned with, that is for damned sure. Remember that, or else your past may become your present...just remember what I aided in doing to you during your last FTR run. I'm playing no games..."
Gene: "Eddy Guerrero has also called you out, Kidman. He wants to meet you one on one inside the ring for a shot at his gold."
Kidman: "It really pains me to see that Eddy is as hard headed as I have always known him to be. I offered you peace, Guerrero...I was content to just go my own way and allow the Fatal Army to go theirs. I had no problems with any of you guys. But for you, that just isn't good enough is it, Eddy? For you, there is always a fight to pick somewhere. Well, Eddy, your arogance will prove to be your downfall. I have never been known to turn away from a challenge in my life, and I am definitely not about to begin now. I do not give a damn about your Iron Man Championship...keep it for yourself. You do not need to lure me with any trinket to assure that I accept the match. I don't want the belt...I want you."
"You say that I can't win. Wonderful. Your arogance strikes again. You are not the indestructable force that your ego continously tries to remind you that you are. You had a nice little run at the World Heavyweight Championship, I'll give you that. But you have yet to accomplish half of the feats that I have in my singles career. And you claim that you carried the team that we had. Three matches doesn't quite account for much of a team "esse". While you were chasing down your world title dream, I was holding down the fort...I carried the Kidman/Guerrero duo while you marinated in the spotlight. And at Rampage, I exploit that in front of the entire world. I can choose the stipulations? I don't want any stipulations. That would just give you an excuse to cry about after your defeat. At Rampage, you will have no scapegoat. Just you and me...and a lesson to be taught."
"And before I leave, Gene, a word of warning to the Undertaker...do not cross me. You should know more than anyone what I am capable of. You are not God, Mark. You are not the devil either. If you get in my way...I will destroy you."
"That, my friend...is certain!"
Kidman walks out of the picture, leaving Gene alone starring with a surprised expression on his face. Gene gives the sign for the camera to cut, and the scene slowly fades to black.
